RYAN FITZPATRICK:

Do you believe in Magic?! Because we do! Low key Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is the   QB 7 right now! Scoring 21+ Pts in 4 straight weeks. This week he is at home vs the NY Jets. Who outside of Josh Allen in Week 1, who put up 28 pts, have faced off against Nick Mullens, Phillip Rivers & Brett Rypien. Dial up some Magic this week!!

JUSTIN HERBERT:

The 6th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft is coming off a monster game Monday Night vs the Saints. Where he torched the Saints defense for 4 TDs and that was without his go to WR Keenan Allen for majority of the game. The rookie out of Oregon looks like the franchise QB the Chargers were looking for & should remain the starter for the rest of the season. Herbert has scored 22+ Pts in 3 of his first 4 games to start his NFL career. Next week the Chargers are on a BYE, so you will have to wait a week to use him. But if you are a Dak Prescot owner searching for a replacement or someone who likes to stream QBs week to week, then Justin Herbert is definitely someone to go out and grab.

GARDNER MINSHEW:

Despite all the craziness going on in the world in 2020, Minshew Mania is STILL alive & thriving!! Scoring 19+ Pts in 4 of 5 games so far this season. Minshew offers a safe floor each week & this week at home vs the Detroit Lions should be no different in what should be a shootout down in Jacksonville. Vegas has this game as a 54 PT Over/Under.

KIRK COUSINS:

See Atlanta Falcons defense.. Cousins will be at home this week against a Falcons defense that has allowed 300+ passing yards to opposing QBs every week so far. Adam Thielen & Justin Jefferson should eat this week.

Running Backs:

ALEXANDER MATTISON:

Don’t look now but Dalvin Cook is injured.. again. The Vikings superstar RB has been off to a hot start, scoring 7 TDs in the first 5 games of the season. With that being said, the often-injured Dalvin Cook went down Sunday Night with an Abductor injury that could potentially keep him out of the Vikings Week 6 matchup vs the Falcons. The Vikings having a Week 7 BYE, so it makes sense for Minnesota to be cautious with their RB that they just paid $63 million to. So Alexander  Mattison could get the start this week in a Vikings offense that likes to run the ball. Also, Dalvin Cook could get injured in the future so Mattison is one of the best handcuffs to own. Go get Mattison!!

DEVONTA FREEMAN:

Freeman has played 54% of the RB snaps in back to back weeks for the NY Giants. What’s also nice to see if that he has 15 & 19 total touches during that 2 week stretch. Out carrying the other RBs, 33 to 18 since he was signed 3 weeks ago. It doesn’t matter how bad this offense or O Line is doing, He’s a starting RB on an NFL team that needs to be rostered! Especially with all the injuries and possible game cancelations going on each week.

CHASE EDMONDS:

The RB snaps in AZ have been split up 65% Drake & 35% Edmonds. With Kenyan Drake receiving majority of the carries but its Chase Edmonds who is getting all the targets & receptions for this Cardinals offense. He’s worthy of an add, especially in PPR leagues. Shockingly, he also has more Fantasy Pts than Kenyan Drake so far despite playing less snaps.

JUSTIN JACKSON:

He looked like the better RB on Monday Night for the Chargers vs the Saints. Carrying the ball 15 times for 71 yards & adding 5 receptions for 23 yards. This is CLEARLY going to be a RBBC with Austin Ekeler being sidelined for multiple weeks & Justin Jackson looks like the receiving back over Joshua Kelley in this offense. Also, Joshua Kelley on the season has ran for an unimpressive 3.2 YPC. Justin Jackson has low RB2/RB3 value going forward until Ekeler returns.

DAMIEN HARRIS:

It was nice to see Damien Harris get the start in his first game of the season. Where he got 17 carries for 100 yards. He didn’t get a single target but don’t be fooled, Harris a very capable pass catcher in his own right. Obviously, James White is the pass catching specialist on the team but all the reports out of Patriots training camp were that Damien Harris was the best RB. It’s a crowded backfield but Harris is definitely worth a bench stash if he’s going to be to main RB and get goal work. Plus, once Cam Newton returns it can only help Damien Harris in my opinion. As teams will have to spy Newton which could lead to bigger holes for Harris to run thru.

LA’MICAL PERINE:

Not sure why, But the Jets just released RB Le’Veon Bell Tuesday Night. This backfield now turns into a RBBC with the timeless Frank Gore & La’Mical Perine. Gase loves Frank the Tank, but it’ll be Perine who gets majority of the passing work between the 2 RBs.

Wide Receivers:

CHASE CLAYPOOL:

You score 4 TDs in a game and you make the Waiver Wire column. Claypool is a freak athlete out of Norte Dame. He only played 69% of the snaps but we aren’t sure how much it was Claypool just dominating or the fact that Dionate Johnson left the game in the 1st quarter with an injury. In the 2 games where Dionate Johnson played, Claypool only played 34% of the snaps & 72% of the snaps with Johnson sidelined. He is worthy of a speculative add due to his big play ability. But this might have been a mirage more than a real thing that will be consistent.

BRANDIN COOKS:

Hopefully you didn’t jump ship on Cooks and drop him like 15% of fantasy managers did this past week. And if you listened to the podcast at all, you heard us talk about how it was disappointing that Brandin Cooks got a GOOSE EGG in Week 4 but to be patient because since Week 2 on he had played more snaps and ran more routes than any other Texans WR. He rewarded fantasy managers who still had faith and started him with a monster game. Recording 8 receptions on 12 targets for 161 yards and a TD. As a gambling man, I would bet that more games like this are coming in the future, compared to the goose egg he laid a few weeks ago.

TEE HIGGINS:

The talented rookie out of Clemson has out snapped AJ Green in 2 of the last 3 games & he’s out targeted Green in 3 straights weeks! Tallying 24 targets over that 3-game span, it looks like Tee Higgins has turned into the #2 option in this Bengals passing attack behind Tyler Boyd. NOT AJ Green. Also, there’s been reports of AJ Green screaming at the coaching staff on the sideline saying, “Trade me already!” If Green were to be traded at any point it would only boost Higgins value even more. GO grab the talented rookie out of Clemson now!

MIKE WILLIAMS:

Keenan Allen left the game in the 1st quarter with back spasms & Mike Williams blew up! Posting 5 receptions on 8 targets for 109 yards & 2 TDs! Mike Williams in a freak athlete who has big play ability every time he’s targeted. And if Chargers rookie QB Justin Herbert is going to be airing it out as much as he has been so far, than Big Mike Williams is the perfect receiver for that. His jump ball ability is second to none in the league & he has massive TD upside every week. As we saw in 2018 he totaled 10 TDs on just 66 targets.

LAVISKA SHENAULT JR:

The young versatile rookie out of Colorado is currently a Top 30 WR in PPR formats. Scoring 10+ Pts in 4 of his first 5 games & his 28 targets are tied most on the team with Keelan Cole.

HENRY RUGGS III:

We finally got to see the speed on the Raiders 1st round rookie WR on a 72-yard TD catch. He also recorded a 46-yard reception as well. Finishing the day with 2 catches for 118 yards & a TD. He has big play ability, making him a high-risk high reward flex play every single week. Who is worthy of a roster spot!

                AVAILABLE –       52%ESPN             73% NFL               56% YAHOO

MECOLE HARDMAN:

Speaking of high-risk high reward, Mecole Hardman is the poster child for that! Scoring a TD in 2 of his last 3 games, and now there may be more opportunities going forward for him with Sammy Watkins expected to miss a “couple of weeks” with a hamstring injury. It also doesn’t hurt to have a WR who is catching passes from Patrick Mahomes.

COREY DAVIS:

Being dropped in a lot of leagues, due to the fact that the Titans game was postponed in Week 4 and turned into a BYE. Then on top of that he was placed on the COVID-19 List for Week 5, but don’t let that discourage you from adding Corey Davis who has been sneaky good in the 3 games so far. Posting 12+ PPR Pts in all 3 games. Also, Ryan Tannehill and this Titans offense looks good. So I’ll take the risk that the former #5 overall pick can keep in going once he returns.

                AVAILABLE –       69% ESPN            64% NFL               71% YAHOO

TRAVIS FULGHAM:

Eagles 2nd year WR Travis Fulgham had himself a day. Posting 10 receptions on 13 targets for 152 yards & a TD! Its nice to see a young player breakout, but ill bet this was more game plan and also due to the fact that both DeSean Jackson & Alshon Jeffrey were out again. Also, Zach Ertz recorded only 1 catch. Which isn’t going to happen very often. Once those other WRs come back they will be back into the starting lineup and Fulgham will be back to 4th or 5th string.

ALSHON JEFFREY:

If there’s one Eagles WR I would be trying to get this week in waivers, it would be Alshon Jeffrey. Who is slated to return in the next week or 2. Carson Wentz and this Eagles offense is in dire needs of weapons to throw the ball to & when Jeffrey is healthy on the field he is usually a great player. Grab Alshon a week early instead of a week late.

Tight Ends:

ROBERT TONYAN:

People may have forgotten about “Baby Kittle” since the Packers were on a BYE week. But his 5 TDs are Tied most with Jonnu Smith & Mark Andrews. The Packers should be getting Devante Adams back this week which should only help and oh ya this guy named Aaron Rodgers is slinging him the rock. He’s a TE1 and he’s widely available!

                AVAILABLE –       52% ESPN            40% NFL               29% YAHOO

ERIC EBRON:

Playing 75% of the snaps since Week 2, Ebron is Tied with Chase Claypool & JuJu with 18 targets each in the last 3 games. He has 5 receptions in back to back games. Ebron is a nice streaming TE option going forward who could eventually be a consistent TE1.

JIMMY GRAHAM:

Currently TE6 in PPR leagues due to his massive TD upside. Jimmy Graham has caught 4 TDs in 5 games so far. The receptions and yardage totals are sexy, but you know was it? Touchdowns! He’s a Boom/Bust TE who has scored 11+ PPR Pts in 3 of the 5 games to start the season.
